
Driven by her own lived experiences, decades of research, various roles in child welfare, and relevant cross-sector system administration for mental health and substance use treatment and recovery services, Amy brings passionate leadership aimed at advancing quality community-based resources for TN families.
Amy has been deeply committed to the mission of Thriving Together TN since inception of the organization in 2023, as the founding chair of the Board of Directors.

Carrie brings over two decades of experience in the child welfare system to Thriving Together TN. With a career devoted to supporting children and families, she is committed to making a meaningful impact where it matters most.
Carrie founded Thriving Together TN to create opportunities that promote stability, health, and unity. Her vision is to foster continued growth, providing families with hope, guidance, and the essential resources they need to thrive.

Amberly has personal experience in the child welfare system and a background in long-term recovery, which brings valuable insight to her role.
Since 2022, she has supported Safe Baby Court participants by guiding them through the court system and DCS while connecting them with local services and resources. Amberly also facilitates family team meetings and collaborates with the families, DCS, and service providers to ensure continued progress.

Candy has firsthand experience in the child welfare system and over seven years in recovery. She provides compassionate support and guidance through relatable insights. In her role, she helps individuals navigate the child welfare system, court process, and service connections to address addiction and recovery.
Additionally, she connects families with local resources to ensure they receive the assistance they need to become nurturing, safe parents and caregivers to children during their most foundational years.

Lydia has personal experience in the child welfare system and long-term recovery. She has been active in the recovery community for over seven years, including three years as a previous regional Lifeline Coordinator in middle Tennessee for the Lifeline Peer Project.
In her current role, she supports participants by helping them navigate the court system, DCS, and available resources. Lydia also facilitates family meetings and works closely with individuals and community partners to ensure progress and promote family reunification.

Christine has worked with the Juvenile Court system and DCS since 2020. Prior to working for the court, she was a teacher for 17 years working closely with children and families in the community. In her current role, she manages court data, serves as an intermediary between the Judge and SBC Coordinator, and assists with community team building.

Our board brings diverse expertise from the fields of children and family services, family law, nonprofit leadership, academia, administration, tax preparation, bookkeeping, major local and regional donor development, private sector business management, and entrepreneurial success. Several board members have lived experience with recovery for themselves or loved ones, as well as experience with child-serving systems and other public systems of support that are utilized by families we serve. These insights gained from personal experiences are an invaluable asset to our governance leadership, which drives our passionate and meaningful intention to serve out our mission and vision.
